Often the guys who sell the tools actually don’t have the skills to actually do the work—they just want an easy way to sell the tools.
And of course, there are all kinds of reasons why these tools are so basic. One of the biggest problems is that they tend to be so old that they have no up-to-date designs. The other big problem is that because there is no up-to-date design, the tools are often just as bad as the tools that are still in use.
