Marketing Overwrite

I came across this really cool idea through the Facebook group of self-awareness. I thought it was really interesting and I’d really like to see how it works. I was wondering if anyone here had used it.

I’ve never used it but I have seen this concept before and was curious if it was a good idea.

I see that the same idea is used in the self-awareness software called DontSellMe. There, a person takes a piece of paper and pens a list of their life events, which they then list on their Facebook news feed. The more events you have in your life, the more likely you are to see yourself in the newsfeed.

While the idea of a Facebook page for a person you don’t know (like yourself) seems kind of pointless, maybe that’s what needs to happen. Maybe if you can list your life events, then when someone reads those events, they might start to realize they’re not the type of person you thought they were.

Some people think they’re selling themselves short by not talking about themselves in interviews, but that’s not the reality. Instead they’re selling you something. They’re trying to help you. They’re trying to make you smarter, more successful, more attractive. They want you to feel like you’ve earned the right to say you’ve achieved something by just saying “I have this”.

Selling yourself short? Thats a great way of making yourself look better, but it doesnt mean anything. The real question is who your selling your self to. For a lot of us, we dont sell ourselves to anyone but our families and friends. This might seem odd, but we actually sell ourselves to people who think theyre smart and we think theyre really nice and attractive. We dont sell ourselves to anyone or anything else.

You sell yourself to yourself, but you sell yourself to others first. We see this in our families, in our friends, in our work, in our schools, in our neighborhoods, in our communities. We sell ourselves to ourselves, but we also sell ourselves to others first. We’re not very good at it, but it works.

In other words, there is no other place to sell ourselves than to others. We can only sell ourselves to ourselves and then we only sell ourselves to ourselves. We are not allowed to sell ourselves to others. We do not sell ourselves to others. We are not allowed to sell ourselves to others.
